New music Friday, it’s time for our Fresh Hit Radar

It’s that time again where we share some of the very best new releases from this week. This collection of tracks comes from ALL genres and styles but with one thing in common, they’re all great tunes.

Let’s get into the Music!

First up it’s Scottish songstress Roma Rose with her track How to Feel. This slow Pop number is a truly feel good tune, easy synths and Roma Rose’s soft vocals create a pure sounding and smooth track. Rolling drums sit underneath Roma’s heavenly harmonies as she spills her honest lyricism. Play this one on a slow Sunday afternoon in the living room.

Next up we have itsreeves with track Left N Right. This talented artist creates ‘product without genre’, a true fusion of elements of Pop, Lo-Fi, R&B and more into a blend that’s smooth sultry and curious. Left N Right is a catchy number with itsreeves’ raw yet subtle vocal style reminiscent of talents such as Mac Miller. This track’s catchy beat and simply pure synths are a certified easy listen.

Next up it’s the ultra smooth Christine Nguyen with track Finding Happiness, feat. Jhalon. This track is pure R&B brilliance, bright guitars, sultry vocals and roomy drum pads. Christine Nguyen’s lyricism has a sad yet beautiful feel to it, an emotive songstress whose soft delivery flows like water. With a sound reminiscent of Jhene Aiko, Christine Nguyen brings talent and potential galore to the table. Listen Below.

The final addition to our Fresh Hit Radar this week is an ethereal electro track from Gefahrgeist titled Graceless. A little different to what you may be listening to but this track is executed excellently. Pure toned vocals, haunting harmonies and some picture perfect production make for a quality electro track from this Scottish duo. An easy feeling electro single that brings a relaxing feel to a typically hectic genre. Take a listen below.

Fly is a cinematic soundscape you won’t want to miss, get ready to be motivated and ready to take on the world after a listen.

Switching it up it’s In The Forest with their Indie-folk track On the Run. This four piece acoustic band harmonises effortlessly to create a vocal blend that is naturally beautiful and purely instinctive. On the Run will have you feeling free as a bird, and ultra relaxed on your weekend. Listen below.

Tacking it up a notch it’s Four Crooks with their stand-out single Black Magic. This track is a driving yet grooving indie-rock track from the four piece. Deep vocals, gritty guitars and a rocking beat leaves us wanting more from this talented foursome. Listen below-

Switching it up for the final track by bringing you a stunning video! These Streets is an accomplished Pop-Rock from Killing Kenny. Accompanied by an emotive and powerful video These Streets is a heartwarming track to soundtrack your weekend. As the UK goes back into lockdown for a second time, Killing Kenny is back to lift our spirits and warm our hearts.

Kicking off our list with a BANG it’s grooving rockers MeMe Detroit with rolling track Mean Rock N Roller. This one is gritty, raw, catchy and guaranteed to get you up and moving on a slow Sunday. Pure Rock brilliance MeMe Detroit are the fearless, female fronted group Music has been missing. Check out the single below.

Next up it’s familiar faces The Kaizens with new release Left Hand Side. These Alt-Indie geniuses are no stranger to the Pop Playlister radar, having firmly established themselves as a band to watch in 2020 these musicians are bursting at the seams with angst, power and true instrumental ability. Left Hand Side is yet another subtly dark track from The Kaizens, a driving yet effortless tune that confirms what we already knew: The Kaizens are the most exciting band emerging onto the Indie scene in 2020.

Third on our list is a powerful single from I.Am.Tru.Starr titled Something’s Gotta Change. Creative, deep and moving Something’s Gotta Change is a statement through music. With elements of soul, Hip-Hop and Jazz I.Am.Tru.Starr’s music is a soundscape of spirit, soul and emotion. Making music in a lane that is truly his own, I.Am.Tru.Starr is one to watch in 2020.

Rounding up our list is EarthWindMud with his smooth Lo-Fi track Speak. The perfect single to relax your mind to, EarthWindMud creates a vibe that it the definition of calming. Speak is the perfect song for your Sunday playlist.

The latest releases you NEED to have on your playlist this weekend

It’s time for another instalment of the best music we’ve discovered this week, a collection of new releases you’ll wish you heard sooner. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for a chance to submit your track and be featured on the Fresh Hit Radar.

Kicking off the list is the talented India Dupriez with brand new single Kiss and Tell, a collaboration with Multi-Grammy nominated producer Boom Dice. This track couldn’t be hotter off the press as the stunning single was released TODAY (9th Oct). Upbeat, catchy and commercial Kiss and Tell is a classic Pop anthem. Kiss and Tell is a stunning single from the Australian talent and yet another beautifully produced track from Boom Dice. Big things are ahead for this incredible artist.

Next up it’s UK based Krankhead with their stand out new single Space Coupe. Driving, gritty and catchy this track is trap infused greatness. With intriguing synths, a rocking guitar and some clever bars we couldn’t ask for more from the talented duo. Space Coupe is accompanied by a caricature and lighthearted video which sees the duo dress up as Marty Mcfly and Doc respectively, guaranteed to make you smile AND Space Coupe is a must have on your playlist this weekend.

Third on our list is Kelsey Coleman with single Break Mine. No stranger to the Pop Playlister platform, Kelsey has already established herself as an exciting and innovative talent breaking onto the Pop scene. Smooth vocals sitting over gritty guitars creates a picture perfect contrast, and truly stunning Pop single. Listen for yourself and soak up all that talent!

The next hit to make it onto our radar is Melanie Masson’s Why Don’t You Love Me. Why Don’t You Love Me is the definition of a power ballad, featuring Melanie’s hugely impressive vocal prowess and some grooving brass sections that tie together into one of the best singles we’ve heard so far this year. Feel good and full of female power, Melanie Masson’s Why Don’t You Love Me has quickly become a Pop Playlister favourite.

Fresh Hit Radar is back and better than ever

After a few quiet weeks we’re back with another Fresh Hit Radar feature! A collection of the best tracks we’ve heard all week that you NEED on your radar. To make up for lost time, we’re giving you a huge dose of new music with 6 different tracks.

Kicking off our list is an intriguing track from the Lowlives Collective titled Rusty Malcom. It’s hard to pin this huge tune down to a genre infused with elements of Electro, Rap, Indie and Trap Rusty Malcom is a curiously brilliant tune from the talented group. Lowlives Collective combines the talents of Orange Bloom, LumbeRoss, Valhalla Kid & OS Elliott. A true wonder team that have brought us a gritty, trippy and bouncing track. Take a listen below.

Next up is a moody yet groovy single title Day To Day by Tugboat Captain. Tugboat Captain are a four-piece musical crew made up of friends and family, so it’s no surprise the group work together seamlessly to create catchy tracks. Making waves in the DIY Pop scene, Day To Day will fill you of teenage angst, emotion and attitude. Take a listen now.

Familiar faces Trio Minutes make it onto our next slot with their track Progress. These three sisters have proven themselves an absolute dream team. Gentle and smooth vocals, infused with a throwback style that will have you raving like it’s the 90s. Not your average girl group, the soulful trio’s release Progress features jazzy horns, a bouncing beat and some cracking harmonies. See for yourself below.

Pale Fire bring us our next fresh hit with track All The World. A driving alt-indie track that has a classic and nostalgic Pop Punk feel to it, this one took me all the way back to my teenage emo days. Pale Fire were formed in 2011, combining the talents of a group of bedroom musicians together their music oozes quality, musicality and artists who REALLY know how to play their instruments.

Next up is the talented Dead Method with single Mind Games, a stunning Alt Electro-Pop single taken from full project Queer Genesis. Reminiscent of talents such as Troye Sivan but mixed with a little more edge and grit, Mind Games is a standout track and incredible introduction to Dead Method. Catchy, commercial and captivating Mind Games sets Dead Method out as one to watch in music. Listen for yourself!

Our Final Fresh Hit this week is Paul Usher’s Time Don’t Heal. A sultry R&B track infused with a 70s Pop style that makes for an ultra catchy and unique sound. The single is pure serotonin, bassy vocals AND one of the best falsettos I’ve heard in a long time this track will leave you truly impressed. Paul Usher sets himself apart as an incredible vocalist and hugely impressive songwriter. Taking an old-school style and making it fresh, Paul Usher is one of the best new artists I’ve heard in a long time.

We’re back with the best new releases that made it on to our radar.

Since it’s a Sunday, we’re slowing it down this week, with a collection of tracks that are smooth, sultry and soulful.

Sit back and let us soundtrack your sunday.

First up it’s Please Don’t Be Me by Jburn and H I P P O. A blend between bedroom pop and smooth rap, this track is the definition of easy listening. Slow yet subtly groovy Please Don’t Be Me has an easy beat sitting under relaxed pianos and witty bars. This single oozes Sunday vibes, take a listen below.

Next up it’s Sally Rose with Hear My Voice. Sally’s deep and sultry vocals are a true pleasure to listen to, blending flawlessly with an indie-rock backing and motivated lyricism. Energetic and vibrant Hear My Voice is a song that demands to be heard. If you need a little push to get up this Sunday, Sally Rose’s Hear My Voice is the perfect tune to get you out of bed.

The third instalment on our Fresh Hit Radar feature is Ever Enough by Kissy. Upbeat, groovy and bouncing this track is a pleasure to listen to. Punchy beats, a groovy bass line and Kissy’s soft vocals make Ever Enough the full musical package. A catchy track that will have you dancing round the kitchen, Ever Enough is a stand-out single for Kissy. Alt-Pop brilliance, Kissy a certainly one to watch for 2020.

Last but by no means least is Sugar Moon by Pixi Ink and krapka;KOMA. This single is soulful, ethereal and heavenly. A fusion of electronic and acoustic soundscapes, combined with soft vocals and heavenly harmonies that make a hauntingly beautiful track. Sugar Moon is a smooth yet moody track and the Pop Playlister team’s top tune of the week. Take a listen.

Happy Fresh Hit Radar Friday! It’s time for yet another instalment of the best tracks we’ve heard all week.

It was a huge week for the Pop Playlister team as we smashed past the 1,000 follower mark on Twitter. Thank you for your continued support and enjoyment of the Pop Playlister platform!

Kicking off this week’s list is Kehina with latest single All Over Again. A soulful masterpiece that sets her out as one of the most exciting talents emerging onto the UK R&B scene. With ethereal vocals, bright guitars and a rolling beat this track is pure, sultry R&B excellence. Kehina is a London based singer-songwriter brimming with talent, potential and prowess. We can’t wait to see what she does next.

Next up it’s Trio Minutes with track Motion Part 2. Trio Minutes is composed of three incredibly talented British sisters and self confessed ‘genre benders’. Blending together Pop, R&B, Electro to name a few with a nostalgic feel to their sound that’s reminiscent of the 80s and 90s. Motion Part 2 is a grooving track from the trio, full of gentle harmonies and catchy hooks, with an effortlessly smooth style that seems to come naturally to the sisters. Trio Minutes are a must have on your next up radar.

Daviies also makes it onto our Fresh Hit playlist with track Your Style. A Nigerian born artist whose Afro-American Rap fusion is truly unique. Your Style is a feel good, commercial track that demonstrates Daviies huge potential for success. A strong introduction to the artist for the Pop Playlister team, and a track that will have you missing summer already.

Slowing it down with Sugar Parks’ Misunderstood. An LA based singer-songwriter whose indie rock inspired sound is a pleasure to listen to. With bluesy undertones and a noir pop feel, Sugar Parks is a stand out artist in the world of indie. Misunderstood is a sultry track from the rising star, featuring gritty guitars and Sugar Parks’ powerful vocals. A subtly dark track from Sugar Parks that firmly places them on our ones to watch for 2020.

The final addition to this week’s Fresh Hit Radar playlist is the talented Myla Valentina. An English singer-songwriter whose dark pop tracks are full of ambient melodies and cinematic instrumentals. Freedom is a sultry song from the young Myla, bringing a strange sense of intensity and haunting to the typical happy go lucky Pop genre. With an EP due this year this is clearly lots more to come from the talented Myla Valetina.

Happy Friday Pop Playlister readers! Hope you’re ready for the next dose of Fresh Hits from this week because the line up today is deadly good.

The submissions get better and better every week and we love sharing some of the best talents breaking through the underground scene.

First up it’s Kitty with track 2020. 2020 comes off Kitty’s stunning debut album, a hauntingly beautiful 8 track project that sets her out as a dark pop princess. 2020 is a favourite of the Pop Playlister team, a moody alt-pop track that compliments Kitty’s ethereal vocals perfectly. Featuring all the best elements of classic Pop, infused with a gloomy electro twist, 2020 is a cinematic anthem from the stand out singer Kitty. Her full project, The Dark Age, is like nothing you would’ve heard before. A pop diva whose dark twist on the genre is intriguing, emotive and captivating.

Next up is single Everybody, a grooving alt-pop track from powerhouse trio Lohrd Snohw, Orange Bloom and Tom Shawcroft. Three music mavericks coming together to create magic, making Everybody one of the best collaboration singles I’ve heard all year. Everybody is an energetic track, with flawless production from Orange Bloom and catchy hooks from Lohrd Snohw and Tom Shawcroft. The track is truly addictive, a sound you just can’t help but groove along to and a real accomplishment for the trio. The Pop Playlister team are secretly praying Everybody won’t be the last single we get from this supergroup.

Third on our list is Erika Ascenzo’s soulful single Bound. Powerful, smooth and sultry this track makes me truly excited for the future of R&B. Bound is just the second single from Australian singer-songwriter Erika Ascenzo’s whose musicality and vocal prowess is astonishing. The track is full, with nifty baselines a punchy beat and glossy synths. Erika’s deep yet soft vocals are the icing on the cake to this delicious track. Leaving us hungry for more, let’s hope Erika Ascenzo releases more music to satisfy the craving for more Bound has left us with.

After Dark by YJKL is the next track to make it onto our Fresh Hit list. This instrumental tune is a smooth, lo-fi number oozing with quality. With bright guitars, a bassy beat and a light touch of synths After Dark is the definition of easy listening. The perfect track to sit back and relax to on a slow Sunday afternoon.

Last but by no means least is Perfect by OnlyM and Blahza. A dreamy lo-fi beat full of intricate design, rhythm and musicality. The track is made complete by the easy bars of Blahza, witty lyricism with gentle delivery creating a bedroom pop single that oozes quality. Perfect is a stunning introduction for the Pop Playlister team to this talented duo. A must have on your playlist, and two talents to watch out for.

The Fresh Hits you NEED on your radar this week…

We’re back with another update of our Fresh Hit Radar playlist, if you haven’t already check it out here and give us a follow. We received so many incredible submissions this week it was hard to pick our featuring artists, keep the music coming for a chance to be in next week’s post! 

Kicking off the list is a summer tune from Sonny Lover Boy titled Tropical Planet. The track is bright, grooving and smooth. An instrumental single with a soothing vibe and the perfect tune to soundtrack a slow Sunday afternoon. Sonny Lover Boy is pure lofi brilliance, a talented producer and summery beat maker.

Next is Pop powerhouse India Dupriez with her huge single How. An artist who transcends any single genre with elements of Pop, Indie, Electro and beyond India is truly an artist in her own lane. How is an eerie Pop track, featuring India’s pure toned, powerful vocals, haunting harmonies and sultry synths. The single emanates quality, talent and potential. India Dupriez is definitely one to watch and next up in 2020.

Switching it up with a Folk infused Indie track from Willy Nilly titled Misbehave. Featuring rich harmonies, gritty vocal styles and energetic guitars Misbehave is a bouncing, catchy Indie track. Willy Nilly ooze musical quality and authenticity with an incredibly unique sounding lead singer Misbehave is a great first impression from the band on the Pop Playlister team. We can’t wait to hear more from them.

The Hardest Thing by Sallee is our next addition to the playlist. An Alt-Pop princess hailing from Melbourne Australia but making Music with the potential to go global. The Hardest Thing is a powerful anthem, with Sallee’s soothing vocal style, driving beat and haunting synths. Sallee’s songwriting draws on her real life experiences, Love, success, identity and heartbreak. This young singer songwriter shows great promise.

The final addition to our Fresh Hit Radar post is Madison Olds with anthem Best Part of Me. Electro-Pop at its finest, Best Part of Me is a summer pop tune to roll down the windows and blast out the car on a sunny day. The singer songwriter has set her sights on greatness and is set to become Canada’s next big breakthrough artist.

The Fresh Hit Radar- Music hotter than a heatwave

It’s our favourite part of the week and time to share some fantastic, fresh hits with you all. We’re excited to bring you the official Fresh Hit Radar playlist on Spotify, give it a follow and let us put you on some great new music.

Kicking off this week’s playlist are the talented Umbrellabirds with their acoustic single Rhododendrons. This track is true easy listening, acoustic guitars sitting perfectly over a rhythmic beat featuring effortlessly smooth vocals. The perfect addition to your Sunday playlist and a sound you won’t tire of. Check out the full project Closing Ceremony out now on all streaming platforms.

Next up some ambient jazz to soundtrack your sunny weekend. Hugo Marsh’s album Mutualism is a jazz infused, indie take on instrumentals. Each track is mellow with just enough funk, groove and rhythm creating a perfect blend of sound and style. Another easy listening project that’s a must have on any chill-out playlist.

Third on our list is the talented Lisa Danaë with her track Starlet, her first single post 2 year hiatus but it is more than worth the wait. Starlet is pure pop princess greatness, a track with energy and power, driving synths and Lisa’s strikingly pure vocals. The California native oozes commercial potential with her catchy hooks and heartfelt lyricism. A true pop talent and the most promising artist we’ve seen in the genre for a long time. Lisa has true potential for pop stardom. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Our final addition is Samuel Slater’s So Far, Gone, a strong contender for our song of the summer. The track is Samuel’s debut single and is a hugely promising start for the artist. So Far, Gone is a catchy track featuring an easy beat and bright guitars, the song is pure bedroom-pop, indie genius. Grooving, warm and effortless So Far, Gone is a must have on your summer playlist and firmly establishes Samuel Slater as one to water for 2020.
